We are excited to announce that the CRADLE project will make an appearance at the iPRES 2015 Conference! IPRES is being held in Chapel Hill this year at the Friday Center for Continuing Education from November 2-6th.

Check out our poster detailing the project at the poster and demo session on Wednesday, November 4, from 3-5:30 pm.

Dr. Tibbo and Thu-Mai will also be hosting a CRADLE tutorial on Friday, November 6, from 9am-5pm on the UNC campus.

The CRADLE team has a new mascot–Henri Tibbo the Poodle! Henri had a blast meeting the CRADLE team at our September meeting. Welcome to the team!

Some of our staff have new titles!

Thu-Mai Christian, the co-PI of the CRADLE project, is now the Assistant Director of Digital Archives at the Odum Institute. Sophia Lafferty-Hess now possesses the title of Archivist. Finally, Jon Crabtree has taken on the role of Assistant Director of Cyberinfrastructure. That’s a mouthful!

We are proud to announce that CRADLE has a new partner! The CRADLE team at UNC will be working with the Data Library staff at the University of Edinburgh to develop curriculum with an international focus on data management.

Congratulations to our former CRADLE Fellow Rachel Walton! Rachel graduated from UNC today with a master’s in Library Science. She will be working as a Digital Archivist and Records Management Coordinator at Rollins College. Enjoy that Florida sunshine!
